Women Raising Boys Hui – Advance Notice

The Parent League invite all women raising boys in our school community to an informative evening based on Celia Lashlie’s book, “He’ll be OK”. The event is not for children or students. This is an opportunity to brainstorm, problem-solve and network. Refreshments and a light supper will be served. The hui is Tuesday, 29 June, 6:30 – 8:30 pm in the NBHS Memorial Library.

Senior Debating

Regional debating is in full swing. Our senior debating teams – on the back of winning the Great Debate Plate – head to Woodford House on Tuesday, 22 June. The prepared moot is, ‘This House would make it compulsory to have a COVID-19 vaccination’.

The Y9 and Y10 exams continue Monday, 21 June.

Parent/Teacher Interviews – Advance Notice

Parent/teacher interviews are in Week 10.

Dayboy interviews are 3:20 – 8:30 pm on Tuesday, 06 July.
Hostel interviews are 1:00 – 3:30 pm on Friday, 09 July.

On both days school will finish at 12:15 pm.
Booking information will be sent out at the end of Week 9.

Goal-Setting Update

Tutor teachers have been contacting senior students’ parents/caregivers to update them on their son’s progress toward the goals that they collectively set in Term One. Following junior exams, tutors will move onto Y9 & 10 students. Contact may be by phone or email.

A reminder that parents/caregivers can access results and historical reports through the KAMAR Parent Portal. Log-in details were posted by mail at the start of the school year. My Action Replay Clubs

Old boy and ex-Head Prefect Scinde House, Erin Walshe, from My Action Replay Clubs, has gifted the school a streaming unit for Term 3. A non-subscription provider, the streaming service is aimed at community sport.

We will be streaming the 1st XI football game versus Lindisfarne College on Friday, 25 June from 6:30 pm. Also, we will be streaming the 2nd versus 4th XI football match on Saturday, 26 June at 9:00 am. Streaming this game allows three of our international families to watch their son play.

Super 8 Schools Rugby

The 1st & 2nd XV travel to Tauranga for their fixture against Tauranga Boys’ High School on Saturday, 26 June. Updates are posted on the Tribe Sports App. To watch the action live you can subscribe to the streaming service, Sideline.Live.

Sideline.Live

Sideline.Live has been streaming Super 8 Schools rugby for several years. They have expanded their coverage to include the Super 8 Schools tournaments for other codes. This year they will be streaming hockey, basketball and football. This is a subscription service.
