Napier Boys’ High School has a long-standing tradition of performing arts across a range of disciplines. Cultural activities have a special place in developing an appreciation of the immense talent represented in the school. All students are challenged to develop their talents as a part of a variety of ceremonial occasions and school performances. Kapa Haka is a cornerstone of the school’s performing arts.

Combines drama productions with Napier Girls’ High School highlights the year on stage, a host of recitals and concerts provide a genuine opportunity for artists and performers to display that considerable skills. This includes the New Zealand Super Eight Schools Cultural Festival.

Students have been successful in National Young Designer Awards and their work is highly regarded by the arts community. Our debating teams regularly win the Hawke’s Bay competitions.
