Napier Boys High School Week Ahead

Week Ahead: Week 6, Term 3

Monday, 29 August – Sunday, 4 September

On Tuesday we had the privilege of meeting and speaking with prospective parents as they attended our Open Day. It has been a while since we have had the opportunity to open our school to the community. We really enjoyed making positive connections with the many families who came to hear our message and to investigate what our school is all about.

Selecting a school is an important decision, as current whanau know. We signalled our continual commitment to providing a learning environment that fosters opportunities and pathways that allow students to thrive and be successful. We outlined our commitment to capturing talent and having a sharp focus on creating an excellent, well-rounded, inclusive education that holds tradition, but has the readiness and courage to innovate.

Next week is tournament week. I would like to wish all the teams going away the very best and safe travels. A big thank you in advance, to the coaches, managers, teachers, volunteers and parents. We appreciate all the time, effort and sacrifices made to ensure teams are prepared and organised. Without this support experiences and memories would not be realised.

It is a privilege to participate and compete at a national level. I know the boys are very excited and proud to represent this kura and will work tirelessly to meet expectation.

Regardless of the outcome the boys will show humility in both victory and defeat and will personify the ‘sky blue brotherhood’.

The school provides training beforehand. Reader/writers/typists will be remunerated.
