Cross Country Friday 9th May 

Please be aware that participation in the Cross Country is a key school activity for all our young men. We believe this will be a beneficial experience for them, and we appreciate your support in ensuring they are prepared. Please ensure your son has his PE Kit and trainers ready. 

Year 11 Shearing course – 7th and 8th may 

This week and next, our year 11 young men within the Agriscience department are participating in a shearing course. This practical program offers a great chance to develop new skills and gain unique experience.

NCEA Authenticity Forms 

Senior students and all Year 10s have been emailed a link to their NCEA Authenticity form. This is sent to their school email account. Please check that your son has completed this form.  

All students undertaking NZQA Standards in 2025 must complete this form.  

What’s Due

Careers 

 Y13s that are considering studying at a university in 2026 are invited to attend the related university presentations.  

12 May  Otago University  1.10pm  Library 

If your son is in Y13 they are encouraged to make an appointment with the Career Department. The Careers Department can provide support and guidance related to tertiary study, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. They can also assist with CV writing. To make an appointment your son should contact Mrs Kettle lkettle@nbhs.school.nz 

Waikato University Scholarship meeting 

On the 28th of April at 1.10pm there is a Waikato University Scholarship meeting in the library for Year 13s that achieved Merit or Excellence endorsed for NCEA level 2.
