What are the Hostel Terms of Payment?

Payment in full is required by 20th of the month following the date of statement (for example a statement dated 31 March 2009 should be paid by 20 April 2009).
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Napier Boys’ High School Hostel’.
In the event that payment is not received by the due date all collection costs (eg: legal costs) will be charged to the parent or guardian.
Each new boarder at the hostel is required to pay $500 on confirmation of acceptance and a further $500 at the beginning of September in the year prior to the boarder living in the hostel. These monies are not refundable and are credited to the 2009 fees ($800) and boarding deposit ($200). The boarding deposit is refunded once all accounts have been settled in full.
When a hostel student leaves the hostel permanently part way through the year, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to advise the Head of Hostel (Mr Murray Barker) in writing.
If Napier Boys’ High School does not receive at least 4 weeks notice of this event 4 weeks board in lieu of notice is payable on the account. If a student is removed from the hostel for disruptive or antisocial behaviour 4 weeks board in lieu of notice is payable.

Please note: In 2010, all accounts for year 9 students will be paid by direct debit.

Payment Method	Comment
Cheque	The cheque should be made payable to ‘Napier Boys’ High School Hostel’.
Cash	Please do not send cash to the school by post. Come to the school office and obtain a receipt at the time you make the payment.
Internet Banking / Direct Credit	Please ensure that the boarders customer number (and name) appears on our hostel bank statement so that the payment can be allocated to the correct boarders account. Automatic Payment	Please contact the school office (eg; Mrs McIntosh) to arrange this. Automatic payments can be arranged on a fortnightly or monthly basis. As a guide if the automatic payment started in January 2009 and continued for 12 months just to pay for the 2009 boarding fees of a boarder for 2009 we suggest: - $287 each fortnight for 5 day boarding - $318 each fortnight for 6/7 day boarding Please remember that there are other items (eg: bus fares, stationery) that are an additional charge on top of the boarding fee.
Eft-pos	Come to the school office.
Credit Card	Come to the school office. Please note we cannot accept American Express/Diners cards
